But I’m not singing about it. I don’t like this weather, not one bit. As pretty as it looks, it’s also quite dangerous to drive in these conditions. Though, thankfully, there weren’t too many accidents today. Oh how I wish this weather weren’t quite so cold, windy, snowy, dangerous, and annoying.

Why I was so excited about it being December. When I woke up this morning, I noticed that the screens on my windows were completely mottled with snow. When I looked outside, I saw about half a foot of snow on the railing of my balcony. I DON’T LIKE THIS! Everything was really frozen outside, made it really hard to drive.
The strange thing is that last year we got our first snow storm on December 1st as well. Really weird.

First snow 2008
I always love the first snow of the year. It feels like a cleansing of the spirit. The clean snow seems to instill a lightness and freshness in my soul like few things can. The funny thing is that I really dislike winter. If I think about it, then I can say that it’s not so much as “winter” as a season that I dislike, but more the wind, ice, scary driving conditions, and the cold. But snow in and of itself is very beautiful. Sparkly, shiny, and clean; like a million little diamond lights.

The snow is pretty, it’s still pretty rough driving in it. Though I have to admit that it is really beautiful.
